The best way to learn how to use DataLoad's Macro loads is to start using DataLoad and experimenting with what it can do. Example loads (.dld files) are supplied with DataLoad and these contain examples of how DataLoad can be used.
To build and run a data sheet the following steps are required:
Enter data, keystrokes and commands into the spreadsheet. Layout your work taking into account that the load works from left to right and top to bottom. For more information on what you can put in the spreadsheet cells and the differences between them read the following:

Set some delays and make them large enough to ensure your load works - they can always be reduced later. Basic delays can be set in the data sheet, while more detailed delays can be specified in the delays form, accessible from the Tools menu or by clicking on the hourglass icon. See also:
Enter a target window in the Window name text box just below the toolbar. The drop down list will contain the names of all applications currently running. To enter the name of a window which isn't listed just type the first few characters of it's name in the text box, ensuring enough characters are entered to uniquely distinguish the window from any other.
Start the load! Select Send Data from the Tools menu or click on the toolbar icon. Choose whether all cells should be processed or just the selected ones and watch the load run.
