Background and Credits

DataLoad has its origins in an Excel macro, but that was redeveloped in August 1998 to work with the then new Oracle NCA Applications. This macro, version 3.0, addressed the new issues introduced by NCA as well as further NCA specific requirements. Further macros, version 3.X, were produced, adding new features and fixes. The software was re-implemented as a 32 bit Windows program for version 4.0. This delivered major benefits over the macro approach and the software's functionality was extended in this release. Current development is solely on V4.X which takes advantage of the improved performance and functionality available in a standalone Windows program.

Credit must go to the following people for their indispensable work:

Martin Birch: Author of the original "Cut and Paste" macro.
Luther Armstrong: Continued developed of Martin's macro and included it in his Data Load work, which includes a large number of pre-built data sheets to use with the macro.

Furthermore, the following have helped greatly with new ideas for DataLoad and testing new versions:

Hazel Ford
Giselle Velez Moss
Luther Armstrong
