Ruts in heavy clay

Before we started work the byway was heavily rutted and consisted of heavy, soggy clay. That made it difficult for anyone to use it. In June 2003 we removed the \"crown\" in the centre of the track and removed as much sloppy clay as possible. In July 2003 we returned and layed 30 tonnes of harcore on the track.
