Oracle have suggested using DataLoad for importing Excel-like data into Oracle Applications 11i on Metalink. We are unable to reproduce the relevant note here because it is Oracle confidential, however it can be seen by searching for Note ID 147380.1 on Metalink.
Oracle do not endorse or themselves support DataLoad (JD Stuart Ltd develops & supports DataLoad), however Oracle Consulting do extensively use DataLoad Classic and Professional. Oracle Support have also been known to recommend clients to use DataLoad to resolve some problems. Finally, we understand that DataLoad was shipped with an Oracle product - "CRM in 90 days" - for completeing a fast implementation of Oracle Applications.
